I wanted to upgrade my small writing desk to something with good features and storage options. After browsing for hours, this one finally won me over due to the 55" length, mesh sidings, and ample height for my PC. While I wasn't able to use the little shelf due to it blocking the top fan of my tower, I absolutely love this desk.So to break it down more:Pros- Ample, uninterrupted desk top space- Metal sides are extremely versatile and great for hanging accessories. Also, more airflow!- Monitor shelf floats from the back, feels sturdy, and gives even more room. I was torn between this and another desk where the monitor shelf ran across the entire length, and while I was worried about the loss of that extra elevated space, the shelf it comes with has plenty of room for my monitor and 2 small speakers. And because it's floating, I just have that much more top space to use- The material feels solid and has a nice finish- Can store my tower off the ground- The wood grain is legitimately really nice. I could easily mistake it for real wood- Comes with two different hook accessories and a stiff pocket thing which is great for holding all my art & computer supplies + my head set- Assembly was incredibly smooth and fun. Everything arrived in great condition, all the holes lined up, and I didn't have to struggle ONCE through the entire, idk, 30-45 min assembly time- TONS of leg room with enough space that I could always get a small storage drawer if I really need the space, all while still having room for my legsCons- I have a fairly standard gaming PC which is 18" high. It DOES fit with the side shelf, but just barely. I had to forego the extra storage because otherwise my fan would be blocked and I could not access the USB ports on the top- No keyboard tray. I personally don't like them, but it is a fairly standard feature on computer desks that this one lacks- No drawer. But if your computer is smaller than mine, or you aren't putting one there, then you could always buy/make a simple pull-out drawer to sit on the side shelf (again - versatility!)- There is so much room on this thing that my cat can easily lay down on it while I still have all my stuff set up. Cute, but an unwanted invitation!I just set it up today so I will update if anything changes. All I can say for now though, is give this desk a chance. When I got it it had very little reviews which I couldn't blame you for not liking. But this promised so much more than the other options I was looking at, and I'm glad I took the risk and bought this. Oh also it was freaking cheap, so well worth it on all counts!Coming from a 43" to this is like going from a studio to a 4br house - I have so much space, and the hooks + pocket were totally able to hold everything that I kept in the small drawer on my previous desk. So if you think this might be just a little too simple, rest assured that it is more than enoughThis desk is amazing. It’s easy to setup by yourself.instructions easy to read and understand.Surprised this only had 9 reviews. It's an amazing table excellent packaging to avoid damage when shipped. Excellent build quality pretty easy to build just everything. Feels very spacious and looks good. Great product. The instructions were easy to follow and it was easy to assemble. It seems pretty well made and sturdy. I think it should last a few years as one would expect at this price range. As good as the picture. But.It's not a rustic brown. I wanted that color in order to go with everything else in the house. It is a pale grey wood grain with the metal parts a flat black. It does look nice and I don't plan to go through the trouble of trying to return it. In spite of the color issue it fits my needs right now.Add picturedThis desk would be the best one I've had in a long time. It looks great and has met my expectations and usage.
