I love the desk. It is very simple and clean lines. the instructions could have been a bit clearer but overall it is a good product.Easy yet challenging to put together myself however it's assembled. The desk fits perfectly in my little pocket corner. Its seems like a product, very heavy, not one man's job if not build to lift such weights. It took about 3 hours to install with no help, instruction were pretty clear with pictures - if followed properly shouldn't have any issues assembling it. Not totally happy with quality of products, noticed wood dust and small chips falling off as I tighten nuts and bolts and surface seems to crack around the areas where we put in screws. It was delivered on time and no damage to parts, corners of the wood parts to too sharp left couple of scratches on my laminate floors, also on my finger - just be careful with that, use working gloves if you have one. I see a glossy\oil coating on the parts not sure what it was for but after assembling I could see the greasy stuff on my hand. Also I wish the surface was Matte finish rather then glossy as I see lot of smear\marks on surface even with slightest of contact. Feel like it needs to wiped and dusted regularly. Otherwise by initial feel is seems to be doing what its supposed to. Will updated after few weeks if my mind changes about the product.Sometimes with larger items like this, I am a bit apprehensive of buying them online since I can't inspect the quality of the item in person before buying it. Surprisingly, this desk exceeded my expectations in quality. Assembly was smooth and easy. It probably took me a little under an hour to put it all together, but I took my time doing it. Because of the price, I expected the material to feel a little bit cheaper and lighter, but this is a heavy, quality desk once it is all assembled. It is also very spacious. I currently have a 32" monitor, 11x17 mouse pad, and a pair of medium-sized speakers sitting on it. Not only does it easily accommodate all of those things (plus my mouse and keyboard, of course), but there is plenty of room leftover for a game controller, my phone, and a bottle of water. The sliding drawer is very convenient as well. The lower cabinet portion is split into two levels with a shelf in the middle. However, while putting the desk together I opted to not put that shelf in. I decided I'd rather have my tower in there (with plenty of room to spare). An alternative would be to use that for storage and put the tower on top of the desk, and the desk is large enough that I could do so without it being too cluttered or creating a hassle.Overall, this desk gets an easy 5 stars from me. It looks good, is plenty big enough for a large monitor with lots of accessories, assembly was easy, and it seems to be of very good quality. We bought 2 of these desks to match in our open office space. Our old desks were simple with no storage and you could see all of the wires from the desktop and accessories which was unattractive and messy looking. These are put together beautifully, sturdy and the black is rich looking. We have had them for about 9 months now so I don't remember the set up all that much aside from it took us 2 people and it took time and patience. It's nice to have a drawer, it is 5" tall 16" deep and holds quite a bit. Under the drawer we took the removable shelves out of the cabinet space to put in computer towers, I leave the door open when it's running to prevent overheating. The space between the cabinet/shelf and other end of the desk is roughly 30" wide and 28.5" tall, plenty of space for our computer chairs with arms and to stretch my legs out underneath. When we received the desks mine had a few small nicks on it, one dent on the cabinet door. Nothing too terrible but enough to warrant losing a star. Make sure you have a mouse pad when using this desk! I didn't have one at first because I was coming from a laptop, the finish has rubbed off in the area where I used my mouse before my mouse pad. It's just what we needed. We're facing pandemic remote learning and my kid needs a proper place to work. We got this for about $170. It took a few hours to build up. Some of the parts are a little off - the locking cam-nuts that turn 1/2 turn to cinch pieces together are really cheaply made, compared to Ikea they were pretty flimsy and dug into the particle board as it turned. But at the end we have a nice looking, spacious desk that should last us a while. It's really heavy and larger than it looks in the picture, so assemble it where it will end up if you can.I've been looking for a desk for awhile to place in a spare bedroom. I wanted something large enough where a person would have enough room to use a laptop, etc., but not so big that it takes up a big chunk of the room. This black desk has been a perfect fit! Thankfully, I'm not the one who has to assemble and put the desk together. A friend had that task. He said it took longer than he anticipated, but he didn't have any problems assembling the desk. Except....the door doesn't fit on the storage area. There are missing parts. In addition, there was a fairly good size chunk out of the backside of the desk. Thus, the quality isn't the best. However, we didn't think it was worth the hassle of sending it back. The desk is quite sturdy. It's been bumped into a few times and it doesn't shift. For a few days we had a pile of books on it, and it held up just fine. Thus, I don't think anyone should have concerns as to whether or not the desk can handle every day use.I was thrilled to find a black desk! The spare bedroom also has a microwave, coffee maker and fridge -- all in black which looks sharp against the teal painted walls. As seen in the photo provided by Amazon, the desk has a pull out drawer and then a storage area beneath it. The drawer slides in and out easily. The storage area can actually hold quite a bit.
