Package arrived earlier than promised (as usual with Amazon). Packaging was very good - no damage at all to any of the contents.. I assembled it by myself in about 3 hours. Instructions were clear, parts were labeled well. Really appreciate the packaging of the hardware in individual sealed plastic packets - makes it idiot-proof as long as you don't open everything all at once and dump them on the floor!. There are a couple of places where a standard-length Phillips screwdriver won't fit; you'll need a #2 stubby Phillips for those places. When you need to hammer panels in place, be sure to use a sacrificial board between the hammer and the panel to avoid damage to the panel.Once it's assembled, you may want some labor help to move it - it's heavy! Fit and finish are nice - I found one tiny spot where I had to use the touch-up stick they provided. The drawer is a bit difficult to adjust - the cam adjustment is not easy. Just be patient. My one gripe on the drawer is that Pendaflex folders don't insert easily - not enough clearance at the rear hanger in the drawer. It took some fiddling to get the folders to hang properly. You'll really like the long keyboard pull-out tray - it allows plenty of room to place the keyboard, mouse pad, and mouse. The PC tower section is more than ample for my full-size HP PC. My HP Envy 4520 printer fits perfectly on the printer stand, and the shelf below the printer stand is ideal for storing extra printer paper or ink cartridges. All in all, I would rate it about 4-1/2 stars. The difficulty in hanging the files in the drawer is worth a tiny deduction. But I definitely recommend it - it looks like quality furniture and it's very functional.Addressing some of the negative reviews on here regarding assembly and integrity of the furniture: I experienced none of this. I have put together quite a bit of furniture in my time and have to say that this was one of the better experiences. The instructions were very clear and simple. All the holes lined up perfectly so there was no forcing/bending to get things to fit together. The quality of the composite pieces seemed very good to me and unless you are really yanking it around I cannot imagine any issues with it coming apart. Lastly, the box it comes in had these hard-cardboard corners fastened around it to prevent any damage, there was also styrofoam surrounding the pieces in the box. A lot of times you order this type of furniture and it comes in a plain box where the corners get mangled and the furniture inside damaged - clearly they took extra precautions packaging this piece of furniture to ensure it was well protected.Only complaint, the keyboard tray is a bit low for me - but this may simply be due to the fact that the chair I have has arm rests which put my hands a bit higher up - I could have lowered my chair a couple of inches but instead I ended up leaving the tray out and putting my keyboard/mouse on the top of the desk. That being said, the keyboard tray is nice and wide and can easily accommadate a keyboard and mouse with plenty of room to move the mouse around.Overall, I think this is a really great value for the price!I was looking for a temporary desk as I look for a roll top desk I can convert to a computer desk. The price for this was perfect and by the reviews this is what I was looking for. I received this in 2 days (I'm a Prime member) and the packaging was superior in protecting the item. When I went to assemble the desk there was a piece that was broken. I immediately called the manufacturer and received some of the best customer service I have received. Not only did they say they would replace the part but would ship it out priority mail (which I received in 2 days) but the representative talked me through the instructions and told me I could put the desk together without the broken part and put it on when the new one arrived. He was right and I was very happy as I had parts scattered around for assembly. As far as I am concerned this is what great customer service is. By the way the desk looks great and I am not going to look for the roll top now.2nd post - sorry I forgot to mention that the desk is not that difficult to assemble. My suggestion is take your time, give yourself room to spread the parts out and if at all possible assemble as close to the area where you are going to put it as it is heavy and does need two people to move. Remember it is only made of particle board and screws so you do not want to push it around only lift it.I've been a Sauder furniture put together'er for many years. Basically the components have been the same. I had only one damaged piece which they gratefully agreed to replace. Because of it's location it did allow me to finish completing the rest of the desk. I've put a lot of furniture together over the years and sometimes like a lot of folks I think I can get through this with just an occasional glance at the instructions. Trust me....READ THEM! True, some pieces are kind of elementary but I just took my time and went through each step in the order they're in the book. Not sure how long it took because I did this over one night and part of day and a few martinis. In fact unless you need it in a hurry, I suggest you spend an hour working on it and then leave it for a few hours then come back to it. All in all it went together quite well and looks nice. I kind of enjoyed building it because I just took my time. I plan on installing wheels because it's heavy. True it's not designed for wheels but it can be done. And it's fairly simple if you have circular or table saw and a 2x3. You can also sit it on those furniture disks you get at any hardware store or online. One nice thing I like about it is that it has a very long key board tray. Extra room for my martinis while surfing!
